Harbour Town Golf Links 4-29-09

In case you didn't know, my husband is a big fan of golf. Ok, I know, we are big fans of a lot of sports, but golf is in our top 3; (for watching and playing!) I had never played up until 2 years ago, but it is something I have quickly fallen in love with and enjoy just being on the golf course.

Now we have lived in some prime golfing country for the last 4 years and even though it has always been J's goal to play some of the most popular ones, we just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. (They are obviously quite expensive since they are so popular!)
So with the realization that we will hopefully soon be moving, we are trying to hit some of them up!
The first one was Harbor Town in the Sea Pines Resort and is the home of the Verizon Heritage PGA Tour tournament every April. It is located on Hilton Head Island which is about 45 minutes away from us in Beaufort.
(P.S. For those in the military who are located around here, they give a Great military discount!)

Please excuse the graininess of the pictures, I forgot my good camera, so we only had the point and shoot one!

A "Cella"

I need a "Cella"....
And I know that most of you reading this will be confused by that statement, but I am in desperate need of one!!
You see, I was a Cella, in fact I was thee Cella! ;)
Oh yes there were other "models" back in the day, but I am referring to me being a responsible baby/child sitter or heck, just being an extra hand to fold some laundry or doing some vacuuming.
I know whenever people bring their own children into the world, they are always going to be leery of who watches there kids, but I am EXTRA leery. I think because of my many years of babysitting, I have high expectations of what a baby sitter SHOULD be.

Our daughter is 15 months old and we have NEVER had a baby sitter. We have done a couple of trade offs with some friends of ours here that have kids also, but that was 2 hours at the most and it has only been couple times.
We don't even have the luxury of dropping her off at a grandparents house; (heck she has only even met 1 of her 5 grandparents and none of her aunt & uncles. Except for a great aunt & uncle!)
My point in all of this, it's really starting to wear on us, especially ME. Not only that, she just came out of like a 4 week period of being sick with something or cutting 2 teeth, including her first molar, and she's back to being EXTREMELY clingy to me again.
Josh just started some leave last week so that is helping me out a little during the day, but I have had WAY too many meltdowns lately. I think the 9 months he was gone really put me too close to the boiling point and I just haven't recovered.
Now I am sure there are many people, especially military wives, that are reading this and telling me to get over it, but I have tried.
Then people tell me to leave Turtle with Josh and go do something, but I have NOTHING to do by myself and I don't want to!!
I just want someone older, mature, and RESPONSIBLE to come to our house and watch her once in awhile.... Is that too much to ask?? Our families live 3000 miles away and money doesn't grow on trees. I cant fly home every time I need a break!

4 more years!!!

Oh MY goodness!!! I think the stress started when we got word that Josh was going to Iraq, cuz we still didnt know what we wanted to do and we were 6 weeks away from being parents. Then when she arrived and the realization of it all hit us, we decided to have him re-enlist over there; (Iraq.)
Weeeeeeeeeell, stuff never works out the way we planned and he couldn't re-enlist for what he wanted over there, so then we decided to get out. That lasted for a very short time and he tried to re-enlist for CID here.
Weelllllllllllllllll, again things just didn't flow right and 2 weeks before Christmas we thought we were coming home again. But then, thoughts and ideas started flowing through our brain and we thought about our daughter and thought about what we wanted out of life, and so over Christmas/New Years, we decided to give it one more try!
HAHAHA again, why would anything work on OUR timeline! Well lets just say after 4 very stressful months and 3 extensions, 2 decals, 2 passes, and 4 ID cards, Josh re-enlisted at 0805 this morning!!!

No we don't know when and where we are moving, but hey, at least we have a paycheck and a place to live!!
